Description of Black Bear Cottage
You won't want to leave this wonderful cabin to explore! While enjoying your BBQ dinner on the large deck, you can hear and see the 165 feet of Wallowa River frontage. Located at the South end of Wallowa Lake, close to the State Park, and within easy walking distance to the activities. Enjoy the cooler evenings with a romantic evening with a fire in the floor to ceiling stone fireplace (propane). Queen beds in this house. Shower/tub combo.

12/31/2010 - Cindi, My wife and I stayed in Cabin #46 during the last week of December. I wanted to give you some feedback on our stay. The cabin and service exceded our expectations. It was well accented and maintained just like home away from home and the views were great. By the way we have the same bear lamp and welcome bear at our home. We wanted to have a winter experience and we got it. It snowed everyday just for us and we enjoyed it very, very much. There was also may deer which we enjoyed watching. I would like to thank you and your associates for making the experience available. We are very glad that we chose Wallowa Lake & Joseph instead of the location in upstate New York that we were considering. I hope next time I can arrange for snowmobiling. Thanks to all including the local citizens that we meet in Joseph and Enterprise . They were very friendly and seemed glad that we visited their home towns. Gary and Deby
08/03/2010 - I have to tell you how much we enjoyed that cabin! It was perfect and the parking was really nice… We loved being tucked down a side street with so little traffic and having the river at our back yard! The cabin was so very well taken care of and we will look forward to reserving that specific cabin again!

05/31/2009 - Loved our stay at cabin #46. What a beautiful cozy well kept cabin. My family and I had so much fun here playing game, doing crafts, and relaxing. We were able to see the gondola running up and down the mountain side, while taking in the views of the river right outside our kitchen window. Mornings were spent drinking coffee on the huge back deck with the visiting deer from time to time. We've stay in many cabins here at Wallowa Lake but none compare to this treasure. We just pack our clothes and food, cuz this cabin is very well stocked. We loved the washer dryer, and dish washer, all the comfort of home. There are so many activities to do, fishing, biking, hiking, miniature golf, and shopping. Don't miss a trip up the gondola the food up on top is great and the view is even better. We will definitely be back to stay again. Many thanks to Wallowa Lake vacation rentals for making our stay so easy and comfortable. 03/21/2009 - Last year my family & I had the opportunity to stay at one of Cindi Aschenbrenner's cabins and what a TREAT!!! The cabin was just like home!! It was clean, well kept, nicely furnished, all the comforts of home, including games and the best thing of all - a washer & dryer!!! My family & I have stayed at several other rental companies cabins at Wallowa Lake and have been truly disappointed. Those cabins have been absolutely filthy, not stocked and in need of basic repairs. In one case, they would not allow small pets due to allergies and I only stayed one night because the dirt triggered my asthma. My dog is cleaner than any of those cabins!! We have NEVER had this experience at Cindi's cabins! Her cabins are clean, comfortable, and just like home! My family will be enjoying the month of August in one of Cindi's cabins on the lake due to our wonderful experience last year!!! Thank you Cindi!!" Stacey

The cabin was cozy and quiet. The decor made us feel right at home. The deck in the back was awesome. We had deer visit us daily. We also liked the privacy of the cabin because of the huge yard.
